Turbo starting to skip, BurgerTuning Intake for IS200t
For my IS200t I decided to install a burger tuning air intake only to find out that my car's turbo is skipping, and sometimes flat out fails to spool. If you thought about getting this Intake don't, it'll work fine for 1-2 months then it will start giving problems. From my knowledge of intakes they are suppose to last, but no, this intake turned from bright blue, to a dull and ugly pale blue. If I had installed the intake wrong or anything, and now am speaking nonsense, then please correct me because in all honesty the blow off of the turbo was extremely nice. Anyways if anyone knows what I did wrong, or if it's the intake's fault please message me.

Whenever I press the gas the turbo doesn't smoothly spool up like regularly, instead it does a skip, like taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Or a better example imagine rapidly pressing the gas every second, it'll rev then drop. Basically that's happening with the turbo.

I'm pretty sure it's not from the vacuum value or anything, the car only has 4500 miles, but yeah there is fluctuation, and the turbo gage shows it. I already removed and put the stock air intake back on, I'll be cleaning the air intake soon so if it still happens I'll take a video so you can actually hear what's happening.

If the boost gauge is fluctuating then it can be the vacuum.

intake has nothing to do with anything. just a coincidence.
unless you got oil on your sensor or something.
as said its likely the valve causing the sputter
so far so good w/ mine. i dont want to screw with the dealer so i hope it doesnt go bad even though its covered.
