Okay everyone, just a quick update in the process of loading the stage 2 TTi tune on my car something happened it seems and my ECU got bricked, we are not sure what caused it and as of now I have no clue how to fix it but will keep you posted
we are not sure if lost connection while uploading the map or usb cable shaked or something but i know am ****ed
I want to hear about this improvement of gas mileage.
I mainly drive city, and I get about 16.5 mpg, anything better then that plus extra power will be a win for me.

Did battery voltage dip really low? I could see that causing the ECU to go offline. A lot of activity in IG2 will drain the battery quickly- that's a constant ~15A draw in most cases.

Either way, WTF
And worst part is no solution as of now, and leaving the dealer as last resort since that will cause warranty loss

WTH happened??? Did they do the install or are you doing it yourself?? Mine was done with no issues at all
Unfortunately this temper the enthusiasm and hope that issue be resolved easily without involving dealer. Assume you have already tried to disconnect battery to reset completely the system.
ODB port is TTL signal and normally you have not any risk on an electric point of view except with an adaptor default. The problem occured during reading the original file or during transfert of modified file? I'm quite sure that Tony could recommend you . Regarding the hardware is it Tactrix box or Ecutek ?, I know the Ecutek as used on my GT86 but it was done by a well-known tuner in France. I cross the finger for you

make up something. lightning strike nearby, or 'it just quit running while you were driving it' one day. dang! isn't there a toyota/lexus tech on this board? maybe he can give you a believable story to tell them if he'll want to help.

I asked Tony about the issue and he said that there was lost in internet connection and caused the upload to stop. His next step will be to perform an open bench recovery on the ECU

Well the fact that a tuning tool requires internet is not really logical to begin with, but anyhow TTi is being very helpful and they asked me to send them my ECU to fix it

I just needed internet access to email the file to him, but i kept it connected throughout the process just in case. I followed each step carefully and it was successful for me. Sorry that this has happened, i hope they can resolve it quickly.

I did keep it connected but could be fluctuation that caused it which I still think isn't logical to have a tool that requires internet for tuning
I understand that you patch the ECU in live by the net. Hum.. I would have prefered to extract the original file, forward same to Tony who make the necessaries corrections/modifications and forward back to reload. You remain in control of all the process and can decide to load the new file when you want and if not satisfied or everything else you can reload the original file allowing to use the car in the normal way. In fact it is exactly the same operation than to load a software on your computer and with no risk.
