Default F-Sport Intake

I know the Intake on the 3rd Gen has been modified already to make more noise, but do you think there will be an aftermarket F-Sport Intake? I really miss the lower RPM growl of my 2IS F-Sport intake.
I've found nothing yet regarding this...

It should be fine other than the location of the MAF sensor on that intake is a bit higher compared to Greddy, Takeda, etc. It has some clearance issues with the engine cover.

I'm interested to hear the results, too. Might pick one up if installation seems easy...

This is retarded

The filter in the air box sits flat, facing upward, near the top of the air box. Any hole on the bumper/headlight side of the air box would cause air to bypass the filter completely. Enjoy your inevitable debris build up and CEL.

what are you talking about?
look at the 2is F sport intake...its an extra rectangle hole facing the headlight BELOW the filter line so that you have air coming in from duct in front and extra near headlight...been done over and over again......if you have ANY mechanical skills you would clearly understand.

You are clearly confused. This is the 3IS forum, not the 2IS forum. If you had ANY mechanical experience with this car you would know the stock intake design has changed.

The intake designs are the same between the 2IS and 3IS.
So to get more sound he could cut the same hole that is found on the F-sport intake on the lower portion of the intake box.

2IS on the left 3IS on the right

Thank you for clearing things up

the 3is lower has clean bottom as well...so no lines like before...so it really makes sense to just cut a hole and you end up with an intake analogous to the fsport for 2is
hence i dont expect a 3is f sport intake.
