Default greddy e-manage

I have a gs 430...srt intake...torque converter...i recently acquired a greddy e manage (blue)...the guy i was refered to charges $750 to install and tune...my question is will the change be big enough that i will notice it or am i wasting $750? If anybody has input I would appreciate it

basic mod? dont think so... Ive noticed not a lot of peeps here mod their GS4xx... besides some of the few crazy guys. i even tried asking BASIC BASIC questions and didnt get a much help... AT ALL...

anyways for 750 i dont think it will be worth it because the gains in WHP vs $750 on a relatively stock GS wont be drastic (i think). HOWEVER if you do plan on getting more engine mods e.g headers, full exhaust, ... maybe force induction then yes

I believe RMMGS4 had the Greddy e manage on his car. Maybe hit him up if you have any questions.

i have Ltuned exhaust...but factory headers and cats...i have been talked out of headers because I was told the factory ones are "real good"...so i wouldnt mind hearing your thoughts on that...forced induction is definatly a possibility...but way down the road....i was also told that the ecu that comes with the srt intake is already tuned to the car so i will not see much gain with the greddy...is that correct?...thanks for all the input

Since the SRT is your only mod, there's not much more you can do with tuning unless you start upgrading more parts. The ecu the SRT comes with is all you need. A Torque Converter and Axleback Cans don't do anything to the car that adjusting fuel maps are gonna help.

You mean Lingenfelter, and yeah you can't really compare the GS to a Vette. There is alot of untapped power in a Vette, but unfortunately not in a 4xx.

I personally would sell it unless your going turbo or supercharged.

unless you have LOTS of $$ to spend on force induction.. ide just sell the emanage or keep it for another car. GS4XX do not have that much aftermarket support like the GS300s do :/.

regarding headers.... its prolly one of the best ways to free up some power. The stock exhaust system (from what i hear) is good... not the headers.

Labor is one thing when FI a car. In a Gs430... the parts cost WAY WAY WAY more than the labor... since they are most likely custom.

if you can get labor cheap why not have them install the emanage n then tune it elsewhere? lol

i could do that...but the install is only a couple hundred of the $750...since we dont do alot of performance upgrades I decided it would be better to let the people who do that sort of thing do there magic...
