Default what size bolts/nuts for S&S headers?

Mine did not come with any hardware. I read some posts where people needed longer bolts to secure the header to the engine and vice versa.

What size nuts and bolts do I need or can I re-use the stock nuts/bolts.

Thanks.

The stock nuts and bolts should be just fine, unless rusted to hell. I ditched all the OE Lexus steel exhaust manifold nuts for brand new BMW locking copper flange nuts. Exhaust manifold gaskets, cat converter inlet gaskets, all replaced with OE parts. Are you doing this yourself? i had mines done at a shop and the holes on the headers will have to be drilled out a bit to fit the bolts on the head.

GL and keep us updated with how you like it afterwards.

Haha. No way I'm installing this myself. The guy is charging $150 for install.
I plan on changing out all gaskets as well then getting my NEO tuned and see what numbers I get.

I already have 2800 stall TC,Ltuned exhaust,NEO and now headers. Just have to wait two more weeks bc the 02 bung hole was not drilled out.

$150 for install is a steal for sure. Do you have a 400 or 430?

Yea i had the same problem with my driver side header flang. its like was just alittle warped, making the bolt pattern just alittle off, i drilled mine out too. The welded on bolt for the cat is the one thats too short. when you put on the new donut gasket for the cat there is only like 3 threads to get it started, that means no lock washer, but i made it work, it does suck down enought to get full thread in the nut. sucks i blem my motor 30min after install. Thats ok ill have a 98SC430 soon, should have 430 short block by thursday.

well lets not say blown up, blown up, but there is definitley something broke in the bottom end. I think i may have just spun a bearing. Ill know on friday when i pull the motor. And lets not scare everyone, the S&S headers didnt cause my motor to blow. I had 175K on the motor & ive been racing it since 83K so that almost 100K hard mile, even though i perform very regular oil changes/maintenance w/only the best products.
