Thumbs up Installing headers

I'm going to go through the process of installing the headers pretty soon and I was wondering what suggestions you guys might have.

The engine bay look pretty tight so I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have remove the stock headers from the bottom of the car.

Is their a chance that the stock header bolts are rusted on a '95 SC400? If so, does anyone have any idea with what size bolts I will need to replace them with?

I don't know of anyone that has installed these headers, so any insight or suggestions you people have would be great! Thanks.

Hopefully Tex or Peter will chime in here - him and Peter Scott (hope I'm getting these names right - sorry if I'm not) have thses Headers installed or they will at least know someone who has installed them.

I'm looking at buying set myself at the end of the year. I looked at the stock setup and, yes, we will be droping the stock manifold from the bottom. The bolts are a little weird from what I'm used to, but if we douse the nuts/bolts with some penetrating solution (liquid wrench, or my personal favorite- JB Blaster) and let it soak overnight, I don't see a problem. If you're not spraying an entire can and having it drip all on the floor, youre not using enough!!!

Hopefully someone who has installed the will post, because I'd like to hear what they have to say.

Keith

P.S. Did the heders come with a gasket? If so, for both ends?

Default Did either of you guys install yet?

I have a set of S&S headers on the way and am wondering if I really have to pull the engine out to replace. I have 1992 SC400. Any info with details would be greatly appreciatied.

Which headers, S&S or Rush?

Since hellasboy originally posted in 2002, it's neither rush nor ss. It's Tex's headers. The original 1uzfe header.
