MY 01 GS300 Going Manual Now!
Will do... Rick should be coming back off vacation today, I shipped the supra coil brackets that I borrowed off of him, pulley set, and power steering pulley nut last week. My GS400 pumpkin arrived last week as did the LS400 calipers, those things are huge! I'm waiting for another week for my torsen diff to arrive. I should have the car back home this week for sure. I have a bunch of things to do, my stuts / springs / bushings are all here waiting on install, install the diff, swap pumpkins, install HID lights, etc..
I got this email from Rick today, we are getting close.. I should have it home now in the next few days!!
I'm keeping a close watch on fuel pressure issues....We're probably at the edge of one pump's capacity when passing 15-16psi or so. I'll hardwire the second pump's relay rather than mess extensively with another piece of Haltech's tribal knowledge. The car has very good driveability now, I'm still trying to conquer deceleration fuel cut and acceleration enrichments. Engine management has been rock solid, has a reliable, repeatable feel for the first time since the project started.
The roads were wet all day today and limited full power tuning. I will try to get some of that done tomorrow morning before the rain starts, but am beginning to have traction issues on dry roads also. This is without abusing the clutch. I do know how to break in a 6-puck.
I'm getting very close to being satisfied with the tune.
More to come.

I'm picking up the car today, its running excellent I'm told. The closed loop O2 feature is working well and street drivability is excellent. We had a few issues with Power steering and a minor oil leak but thats all taken care of now. I need to do a few things when I get it home. Suspension, LSD Unit and new rear, HID's, LS400 brakes, sticking hood latch fix and A/C condensor.

Hell yea man, Rick tells me he's hitting 120MPH quick in 3rd gear, I can't wait to drive this thing, it's going to be so much fun laying the smackdown on Vipers and Vetts with a 4 door luxury sedan. Rick is installing a led indicator light next to my wideband display that will light up to indicate the 2nd fuel pump is coming on, its triggering on now for boost over 14psi. Just a nice safety feature.

I'm picking it back up tomorrow. Rick was rushing to get my car done for the meet so there was a few tuning tweaks left to do, as it turned out I couldn't make the meet so I had to bring it back for a cold start tune, also there was a FORD GT on the road, I did a 3rd gear pull past him to try to get him to bite, when I let off the throttle the car stalled out, the problem was driving Rick crazy but he figured it out. When I ordered my Q45 TB the idle adjustment rod was bent, well Rick bent it back and it worked fine until I ran up on that Ford GT, the piece broke and the butterfly sealed shut causing the car to stall out unless I gave it gas. Thats fixed, there was a lean area down low when first engaging the clutch causing me to slip the clutch a bit to get the car rolling, thats fixed now too. I plan to run E85 in the near future too. But I'm loving this car, its a blast to drive with all the luxury comforts.
It took a long time but I did allot more than just the manual swap. I had a damaged engine harness, we pulled the head freshened it up along with installed non vvti cams, fuel system upgrade, Haltech, along with all the manual swap items: custom driveshaft, custom tranny mods, custom pedal installation/clutch master installation. then Rick custom made a intake manifold. In the end it was well worth the wait, the car I have now is a beast, a nice 4 door luxury sedan with ***** out power. I love the stick shift and it feels just like a stock car to me.
Last night I went to Merrit Island last, Rick and I did some highway tuning with the Haltech, we got the car running damn near perfect. once at 80MPH the back end kicked out hard to the left and I almost lost it. I also pulled a GSXR600 on the way home pretty easy, I think the kid was surprised. I'll get some videos and pics today.

I'll try to get some better videos up, its a PITA driving a stick and video taping at he same time. You can see in the beginning of the video a cop going the opposite way, I need to put my valentine back in, also I came up on this nice Aston Martin yesterday, the guy was pretty cool, I pulled up next to him tapped my throttle and he downshifted and took off, I reeled him in, missed 3rd, he jumped on me then hit 3rd and jumped up about 1 car before letting off, it was fun! At the light the guy asked how much power the Lexus was making, I told him about 550 to the wheels, he said the Aston Martin was making 400 HP.
