I picked it up from the bodyshop yesterday, very happy with the final result. Looks like a different car.
looks like you had a great thanksgiving though, IMHO the scoop in the center still looks funny and gives it the charger look. if it was offset over the turbo it would look better i think.
i dunno what it is bout the greddy lip though that i dont like it, sticks out to far. paint looks great though...
I agree about offsetting the scoop, but it really is all about what you like. Looks like you have put a lot of love into the car, and it really shows. I wish I could see this beast in person!
I don't think offsetting the scoop is an option. Forst is functional so there is a hole in the hood lol.. secondly if I put it over the turbo it would be off to the side where the crease is on the hood and wouldn't fit flush, I think it would look really odd there anyway due to it's shape and size. The scoop is polarizing, you either like it or not, it seems to be 50/50, I personaly like it. It give the car a bit of an aggressive look IMO.
Well the motor is out and at the machine shop. Today I picked up forged pistons, rods, Titan 280 cams, Springs, clevite bearings, and ARP main studs. Going to build the motor, hope to have it running this time next week.

Finally got the long block back from the machine shop, forged pistons and rods, clevite bearings, Manley springs, Titan 280 cams and a new exhaust manifold. Can't wait for the results, I hear guys are picking up 40RWHP with these cams alone.
I should have it ready to drop in today, waiting on a new exhuast manifold. This was the first time I ever timed an interferance motor, with the Titan 280 cams I had to loosen them up to get it timed. Big thanks to Darin at DD Tuning for ALWAYS being there to pick up the phone when I have questions. That guy is awesome, I'm a customer for life.
We haven't crossed that bridge yet, I'm sitting at home while Rick at Speedtech in Merrit Island does all of this work for me, I have no doublt he will pull this job off with factory like details, I've seen some of his custom work, it's amazing stuff.
Here are some new pics, pedals are on and Lokar throttle cable is in, no more drive by wire crap. Ever since I bought my car every now and then I would hit the throttle and nothing, it would sometimes take 3-4 seconds for it to respond. Now going with the Haltech and Supra style custom intake I shouldn't have to worry about it anymore. The Lokar cable is mounted in the factory position with just a small modification.
