Actually, it is an option, I've never heard of anyone doing it though. It is just much easier (with time and money) to start with a gs300, rather than a 400. If you have the money, anything is possible.

Few updates, it's been awhile. Been busy here. We put in the A/F gauge last night, not mounted yet. And tuned a little. Couple of pics, new sensor on the downpipe, a couple of other install pics and my new tailights. Hopefully I will put in the rear LSD diff and more tuning in the next couple of days.

That is really sweet. I don't think mine will fit in there so I'm probably going in the ashtray(flip down). Hopefully it will fit after some modding. Yours is in a great spot so you can see it without looking down. Have you tuned your car yet?? It is a pain in the as_. Later

that was taken when i had my supercharger.

As of right now, they are still trying to finish up the swap. Some wiring issues i guess. Car fires up but dies instantly. Right now they got it to idle for a bit but still dies.

Burgandy, do you happen to have the stock 2jz-gte VVTI Maf sensor? My car fires up and is now idling. But then studders and stalls when the gas is applied. Faulty maf? Because i'm using the stock GS300 maf right now.

I really like that mounting. I have been trying to figure out where to put a wideband, oil pressure gauge (and/or tranny temp), and manifold pressure gauge without having the interior look bad. I'm thinking that if I put a wideband display where you did (clock area) and the gauges in the ashtray area and retain the flip up aspect it would look alright. I have the stock nav system otherwise I would just do something in that area. The other place I was thinking about was in the bottom portion of the center armrest. I just think that spot would be to cumbersome to actually be useful.

i am thinking about doing this swap later but i have a few questions, what is the difference between the color of the tops? and why is the older non vvti motor more powerful? which is a better swap in terms of price power and how hard it is to install the gte or the gtte?
