GSracerRY has had a single turbo in his GS for a couple of years now.

I didn't know. sorry, so why don't more people with a gs4 go Single Turbo? is it more money than SC or too much work. I always thought gs4 guys had 2 option SC or TT. What kind of power is expected from a single turbo gs4?

Here ya go:
The Turbo is under the engine, so you can't see it if it's not on a lift. Sorry.
XS engineering also did a turbo on the SC 430 as well.

"There were only really two options for kits, one was the RMM and then the other was the SRT twin turbo. So it seems to me that was all people had to choose from. A few folks have gone with custom setups but not many because there is more work involved because it is one off. Well its not one off any more, Bothh Jaimecbr900 and I traded in our RMM superchargers for the Mahdavi turbo kit for the GS400 I also put custom low compression forged pistons in the engine. My goal is 500 hp which I am sure that I will hit easily.

Finally, the ROCK IS BACK! FYI for all GS400 owners. The pistons are the weakest link in your engine. Especially the RING LAND. I have seen some many 1uzfe engine got killed because of this weak design. Morris, tell use more about your engine. Rods, Pistons and so on..... interetest to find out....
I just got my car back too.. with built motor with GT40....

Hey guys, this is Sam from Mahdavi. Basically what we did was a long block rebuild with new bolts throught out and over bored .20 with some custom Ross 8:1 pistons. The heads were also refreshed with all new seals and a valve job. Let me tell you though, the machinest said that the motor looked brand new through out, except for the pistons on a motor with over 220,000 miles. The rods can handle a good beating granted it's tuned right.
Basically the ring lances of all cast pistons that come in any motor are the weak link. Detonation does a number on the piston, it just vibrates them to death. I have seen this happen on 2JZs, honda motors, mitsu, etc.
Morris should have his car next week before we have to go to Atco. It will be there for the NN.

I can only imagine the kind of torque you are making with that monster and how early you probably start making it. My max torque was 472 the last time I dynoed my car but it did not happen until 4200 RPM. Makes me wanna sell my GS3 and switch to a GS4....nah, I'll just get the 3.7L stroker kit..LOL. Congrats on the fantastic job you did with your car.
I posted some pics for you over on SELOC Morris. You can link them here if you want. It's got front and back pics in there.
It's gonna be rocking when they finish with it.
Now, if we can only convince Mr. Leadfoot Morris to hold off for 1000 miles while she breaks in........that's another conquest!!!!
