Thanks. I've succeeded in hijacking Morris' thread, so I'll quit for now.
I will say this much: Funny you should mention C5 vettes. On friday there had to be 3-4 of them there and a couple of Z06 and even a nasty blown 71. The C5's were running in the 14's and the Z06 was running 13.1's or so. The track, although an NHRA track, sucks really bad because of lack of prep during "open" nights and the altitude. I'm going to the dyno next week to fine tune everything and I have a....ahem, ahem
.....friend working on helping me with the shifting issue. Stay tuned. I'll feel mission accomplished if I hit ANY 12's at all. 12.999999 is fine by me.
Well I picked it up on Thursday, life was gooood, I mean real good. I had forgotten how nice it felt to be surrounded by lexus luxury and comfort. I also forgot what a stiff suspension felt like, I like it sooooo much. It's time to park the Civic for a while. Any how I had it for about 6 hours, we went to Starbucks to celebrate, me, wife, grandma, and my daughter. Any how the alternator died at some point the fans didnt come on and the car died while I was at starbucks. I didnt know what the problem was at the time so I was really concerned that I may have damaged something or broke something. But Sam came out to meet my family and I at 10:30 at night, mind you he was leaving for a 10 hour drive to Atco in NJ around 2 A.M. I didnt even ask him to come, he just sort of showed up and took control of everything. He tried a few troubleshooting, things, arranged for a tow truck to pick up the car and took us all home. He called me the next morning from somewhere on I95 and told me that what his techs at the shop had found.
They should have the alterator in on Monday and I will pick up the car sometime Tuesday, to start logging my 1000 miles. So far we have kept it under 3 psi for the break in period but it did feel very strong, the fuel mix is very rich for safety. As soon as I log the miles we will hit the dyno and tune in the HP. I was also concerned that the low end torque and HP would be down due to the lowered compression, but it seems fine. The exhaust also sounds,,, well wicked is a word that comes to mind.
Lets just say that so far I am very excited and happy about the outcome of the project

Great to hear of Sam's awesome service first off, great to hear the problem is just an alternator.
You say the car feels fast at 3psi even in the low end but a lawnmower would have felt fast after that Civic you've been driving, LOL
j/k Morris - you car's going to be incredible in just a couple of weeks I'm sure. Where will you dyno it?

I have used Balanced performance in the past, at this point I am not sure if we will be going back there or somewhere else. I'll be sure to let eveyone know how it turns out. As for when I definitely want to do it before Nopi, but with my new schedule, getting the break in miles is going to be tough.
