Turbocharged GS400 and so it has begun
Hey Morris, while you are driving it gently breaking it in... give us an idea of gas consumtion when driving it nice... (since I am sure that might never happen again)
or is this just a dumb question...
Think driving nice it might come in around 15 MPG?

Sure there are several devices that control ignition timing and dont do anything with VVTI which is valve timing. A few that come to mind are split second MSD has one also.
No one I know has had any problems with tuning there GS400 with FI, so the tuning problems you mention are news to me. Granted most of the guys I am reffering to are running RMM superchargers at varying levels of boost. I ran 12 psi on my RMM and had no tuning issues at all, if that gives you any perspective.
Wheter or not you need a VVT controller is up for debate all I know is that the FI guys thus far have been doing okay with there 400's without it.

Good to know something like this is possible, for the last couple of months and reading about others FI it seemed to be something difficult to tune and get good (safe) results. Outside of Dave's SC running a custom piggyback from SRT it seemed most others were not happy with the tuning aspect. Good to hear from someone who is running something more basic and having it run and tune well.

I have had a RMM SC on since the last week of April.
It was tuned with the Apexi SAFC2.
I've got a dyno print out of 360 rwhp.
This is a daily driver.
And I get on it every chance that I can. WOT
What a blast I can not imagine going back to non F1
It is literally intoxicating

My times at the track were less than stellar. I am having shifting issues right now. For whatever reason, the tranny even with the modded VB is bouncing off the rev limiter NOT at the 1-2 like you'd think, but bouncing off it at the 3-4 shift.
That part sucks because that happens to be where the car is really building up some good steam and pulling HARD. I had to get out of the gas right at half track to let it shift and then get back in it. Needless to say that didn't do much for my times.
The best I could muster was a 13.5 @ 108 mph. Not my best time, but but dyno says the power is there if only I can drive the car to it. The car has much better times in it once I get the shifting issues resolved.
I can live with that for now......

A stock C5 Corvette with around 300rwhp runs similar MPH and only weighs 3300 pounds. Obviously you are making much more to the ground than that.
