2jzgte engine swap...
I was just wondering if i was to buy a twin turbo supra engine and do the swap, what things would i need to get it to run? or is it a direct swap, and transmission and all is ok? What is the estimated hp?

Estimated HP is around 300 if you use stock JDM motor. They are rated at 280 PS but are always a little underrated. To install is not that bad. You'll need a Supra steering rack, subframe, and a few other things. Wiring is a huge pain as well.
don't mean to hijack but i'm gonna do the same thing
i'm thinking of doing the same thing, but i did'nt want to start a new thread and get flamed or told to do a search, i've been looking now for a week.
i just wanted to get a compleat gte engine, ecu and wireing harness and use my existing tranny for now.
(92 sc300 5spd).
and i'm thinking that since the block is the same all i really need to do is rewire and get a little more electronics, let me know if i'm overlooking something.
johngs4 do you have a gs400???

You are talking MAJOR surgery. IMHO it would make much more sense to sell the GS400, buy a GS300 and with the savings buy a turbosystem from someone like SRT.
If you did get the 2JZ-GTE it would be making about the same power as your current V8 until you modified it. Modifications can easily be the same as going to a complete new turbosystem with a larger turbo, different exhaust turbo manifold, different downpipe, different intercooler, etc, etc... You can always build the 2JZ-GE engine in the GS300 to GTE specs... pistons, rods, camshafts.

...If you're going to build the 2JZ-GE into a GTE spec, you might as well do the conversion. If you're going to do the conversion, you might as well go BPU (550cc injector upgrade (need to correct A/F), boost controller, colder spark plugs, ignition upgrade, adj. exhaust cam sprocket (might as well do a 256 camshaft while you're at it), high flow cat (thank you Clay over at Random Tech... downpipe I suppose but the car's gonna smell illegal), any 3" piping exhaust system, intake, etc. Since the factory twins are ceramic, I highly recommend you do not exceed 16PSI cap boost. Boost should kick in at 2900-ish if you go independent vs sequential. I'm not sure how Swift's setup does on 91 pump gas, but the above should yeild about 409-ish to the floor and the torque somewhere at 430-ish somewhere around 4500 engine RPM.
I stand corrected... when I had those numbers done it was on 92 pump... not sure about the difference from 92 to 91.

hit me up on AIM if u see me, or MSN if u use it (i'm on the same E-mail address)
so GTE swap can be done with 8.5k now huh? Price drop
There's a good article on a GS400 w/ the GTE swap that claims to putting down 800rwhp. I beleive it is in "DSpeed" magazine from a month ago.
Good reading. I believe SP Engineering performed the labor on the swap.

I have the magazine laying around the shop somewhere. They did a clean job. How come never post the 1/4 time? You can make 800whp, but you can't get the car to hook up then it wouldn't matter.
