Default Consistent p2241 cel that won’t go away PPE headers?

So for context I’m pretty new when it comes to Lexus’s jsut got my 2007 is350 a couple months ago and for all the random issues I’ve had with it I still love it, but my main focus rn is my CEL that that will not go away my car does have PPE header and a HKS axle back im assuming my issue is having to do something with the de catted headers however once I got under the brand new 02 sensor’s connector was melted and had exposed pins inside the connecter I assumed this was my issue so instead of wasting the brand new denso 02 sensor I snipped the wires and spliced the new connector onto it, my cel is still here even after I disconnected the battery, could the 02 sensor it’s self be bad from being shorted? Should I try the eBay 02 sensor I got to replace it? It has a base map on it as well from the previous owner. I also notice that my mpg is pretty bad, I mean I’ve never seen it go over 18mpg

My O2 wire extender melted as well and I got the same code. You also have to replace the A/F fuse located under the hood on the driver's side.

Really? The fuse didn't blow? Have you tested your relay as well?

I'm assuming since it's involving the Emission System. It may have thrown a permanent code.

It won't clear the CE Light untill it's remedied. Even if you disconnect the battery.

I thought you needed O2 foulers for post cats? with headers?

On RR's website I think they're available for purchase.

No I haven’t what relay is it and how would I check it? Also the fuse had a bit of corrosion so I’ll replace it anyway

I’ve read about the O2 spacers are those similar?

Yes, but not all work. You'll probably have to find a good set.

Here's some threads to look at.

Hi,

That code P2241 is for the heater circuit in the Bank 2 (Driver's side) Sensor 1 (upstream A/F sensor in the header).
You can check your sensor's heater circuit by measuring the resistance between the two black wires. It should be between 15-25 ohms. If it is zero, then the sensor is bad.
If it reads correctly, there may be an open circuit in the black wires in the extension harness.

I would not use any other brand of sensor other than DENSO or from the dealer (Made by DENSO). Other brands can cause a CEL.

that code is electrical only. based only on the current passing through the black wires/sensor
