Waiting. on my first Lexus vehicle the 450H+, I use my remote start a lot in Ontario Canada. winters. How does the remote start work in the NX will it use the gas engine to warm the vehicle?

 

If it gets too cold, it will. If it's lower than -10C, I have seen it turn on the gas engine to warm the cabin. If you have the front defogger on, it will turn on the gas engine as well.. not sure what temp. it will turn on with the front defogger.

 

Thanks LSFT, I looked through your vides but I could not find anything so I knew if I asked here you would probably answer.

 

My remote start app for my NX450H+ for cabin settings only allows for cabin temperature. There are no seat heater/cool, steering wheel heat, rear defrost or anything other than the cabin temp. Consequently the seats & steering wheel are cold when i get in the car - not great in the Canadian winters. Is there something I'm missing in the app set up?

 

Contact Lexus support. Mine one day showed up with the seats settings.

 

Regarding the defogger, I found this to be true with driving, but I haven't found it to be true with remote start. I enabled front defogger in the app in the climate settings, did remote start and the engine did not turn on.

Not sure about -10C because we haven't had any days that cold yet.

 

 

The problem is my "Climate" screen on the app only shows "Climate & temperature", no picture of seats, steering wheel or defrost - have called Lexus support and they said if my app didn't show it then there wasn't much they could do. Have contacted the only dealere in my Province and they will have a look at the end of next week when i take my vehicle for service - my salesperson has the exact same vehicle 2024 NX450h+ base and his app shows exactly as you have above. We have tried to reload the app a number of times.

 

You need to contact Lexus Canada HQ. They will have a technical team look into it - something wrong on their end. I had the same problem on my 2023 450h - took about a week for the customized climate settings to appear in the app.
