What is the trick in using the remote engine start on the 2011 rx450H?

 

The instructions should be with your mountain of manuals. To activate, press lock three times and hold on the third press. The hazard lights will blink a few times and the RX will start. Once you touch the door handle it turns off.

Tips, you have to be within 75 feet to have it work. I lower the windows first if I am trying to cool the RX. It will only stay on for 10 minutes, cycling between gas and electric. You can remote start it a second time for another 10 minutes but that's it. And in the winter turn off eco mode to maximize heat.

FYI, don't wait too long in between the presses of the lock button on the remote, otherwise it will not work.
