Random Clock Times
A new issue in the infotainment system the last couple of days. Each time I start the vehicle, the clock is showing hours in difference from the actual time. After resetting the clock in the systems, the same thing happens after I restart the vehicle. The software update cannot come soon enough.
Maybe the car is confused about which time zone it's in. Have you tried switching from Set Time Automatically to Set Time Manually? Of course, it would be better for the car to figure it out, but unless you're frequently crossing time zones, leaving it fixed on manual might be enough.
Also, which profile is loaded when you do this? The auto/manual setting might be tied to the profile.

It was set to automatically. This afternoon it said I was in Hawaii's time zone, but I live in MA. My profile doesn't connect automatically unless I type in my pin. I don't even bother and just leave it as guest.

If you have read this forum you would know there are a lot of minor software problems with profiles and different keys being used. A recent software update was issued which fixes most of the problems. Did you apply the software update from Lexus ?
Yes, I have read this forum. That is what this forum is for to share your thoughts and concerns. This was a new issue that I hadn’t seen anyone else report. I am in the middle of my update right now. If it solves the many issues which people have reported, I won’t have anything left for this forum.
We've seen the clock reset a bunch of times, once twice in a day. I've tried manually setting, set by GPS, or set automatically, nothing seems to stick. In addition to the Hawaii time zone shift, we also get some random times showing up, so possibly a few flavors of the issue.
Theoretically in the patch that's just starting to roll out (randomly by VIN evidently, but some folks here have gotten it) there's a fix for part of the issue. Here's how its worded in the bulletin:
"Daylight savings time intermittently turns OFF"
My dealer has also told me the Time Zone switch to Hawaii is known, but not sure if the fix is in the patch. They suggested sticking with 'Set Time by GPS" as the best choice.
