Exclamation Multimedia System Constantly Restarting

Last week, I got a notification when I got into my car that I needed to install a software update for my multimedia system (I have the model with Navigation). The only noticeable update is that it added Amazon Alexa to the Enform App Suite. However, now the system is constantly restarting itself every minute to minute and a half. Has anyone else had this issue or know a way to fix it? For reference, the operating system is 12.8020.

Got the same update. Have not had any issues yet since installing ~4-5 days ago.

Try disconnecting the car battery for at least 10 minutes and reconnecting.
It should resolve the issue...maybe.

Yes hwtharpe, same happened to me. After update, my the system restarts ever minute or so. It won't stop and is extremely frustrating being that it worked just fine until immediately after the update was installed. I've disconnected the battery for hours, removed/replaced the fuse and it's still restarting.

Have you found a fix or have you taken it into the dealership? I called Lexus and they had no advice to offer except disconnecting the battery for at least 30 min.

This issue happened after an update in 2016 (think it was mostly linked to ISF owners from the old threads that I have found.

I had to take it to the dealership. They ended up doing a factory reset and it solved the issue.

Good news!

Any idea what they did exactly? Whether they told you or indicated it on the work order.
It may help others with the issue and save a trip to the dealer.
