A co-worker told me that the Samsung/Android phones have the ability to do "slow charging" when charging wirelessly. I found the settings in my phone and switched "Fast wireless charging" OFF. Now it charges on the wireless pad on short trips and doesn't get as hot.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to try setting my Samsung phone to slow charging and see if this stops it from overheating. I already accepted the fact that the NX wireless charging is a battery level maintainer AT BEST. I just want it to stop overheating and have less intermittent pauses.

FYI, Samsung phones also have the Routines feature that lets you set automation. For example, I can set my phone to automatically change the wireless charging setting to disable fast charging when it is connected to the NX by bluetooth. If this works, I'll be setting it to that.

Mine just stopped working so they are replacing under warranty. They had to order the charger and something else, I was shocked to see how much the charger was lol

Interesting item. We were on a trip to Montreal last week and the phone kept overheating on the charger. Was using Waze and streaming music. I will try this slow charging option, if I can find it on my S23. Can you elaborate on the routines feature; like how to find it?

I have a slightly older Galaxy S but you may find the features the same way.

To get to the Routines:
Settings > Modes and Routines > Routines tab
Once you get here, tap on the "+" to add a new routine. From here, you can set up the routine to turn off Fast wireless charging when connected to your NX via bluetooth.

So far, no overheating. Not sure if the frequency in intermittent charging pauses is more, less, or about the same. Will continue to monitor that.
