Wireless charging not working
This may be beating a dead horse, but could coil position have something to do with it? The reason I am asking is that my friends Honda Civic (2022 touring) is very particular with the orientation of the phone. Honda has stated that “it’s the design of the phone that affects the charging performance”.
does moving the phone, in a different angle make things better?

Probably calling is better. But I just used the web form at http://www.lexus.com/contact
scroll down to bottom and hit send message. You need your vin but its in the Lexus app.

My service advisor told me I needed the “round circle thingy” on the back of my case, referring to MagSafe. I could not get him to understand that that has no bearing whatsoever because this charger is the Qi standard and not Apple MagSafe.
I have the same problem with loading profile when I had both digital key on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and smart key in my pocket. It looks like the car is confusing which key should be loaded when starting the car. As soon as I delete the digital key from my iPhone and just carry the smart key, everything is working like a charm and no more loading issue since then.
Regarding the Qi wireless charging, I had exactly the same issue. If you are lucky that you placed the iPhone in a very dedicated location on the pad, then the wireless charging will work. I did bring the concern to the dealership when I performed the first 1600km service... they simply put the comment "Phone charger is fine" without even asking for more details. What the heck is that??

I'm having both issues with the NX I just got a couple of days ago. Pretty much every time I get in the car, it puts me into the Guest Profile. I don't have digital key, so there's no confusion there. And my charger will work for 30 seconds at the most, then it stops. So frustrating.
I am recently having some success with placing my iPhone 12 Pro (in a thick silicone case) on the charging pad and getting it to charge for the whole journey!
The secret for me is that when I place the phone on the pad I move it until there is a faint sound like a CD drive moving. At that point the charger seems to be locked on. It charged for two 20 minute drives today.

So, to sort of revive, I cannot, in any way, get my 13 Pro to charge. I'm gifting the phone to someone, and wanted to know if anyone has luck with the following:
S22 Ultra
13 Mini
Thanks in advance.
I'm also reporting this to the dealer when I pick my tags up.

Maybe contact some of these Youtubers out there that are reviewing this vehicle and let them know of the situation so they can get this out in the wild.
The dealers don’t really care. I think everybody should start writing some letters to corporate or the CEO and let them know of the substandard part they used for this. I wrote a letter to the CEO and I’m still waiting on a response.

I find it is easy to forget the phone on the charger as i is not really obviously visible when I leave the car (and I am getting old!). I wrote a simple Tasker profile on my phone to warn me to remember to pickup my phone when I leave the car. Due to the unfortunate occasional disconnects I had to put a loop to wait a few seconds to be sure that the power is off for good, and not just briefly interrupted, before sending the reminder message. It works 99% of the time.
My wife has a Samsung S9 with a relatively thick protective case and it charges fine on the charging pad. At least the pad is large enough; in my previous 300h it was too short for my Note 8. I don't use the Note 8 anymore but it does fit on the tray.
So far I have not heard the cooling fan...

I’ll preface this by saying that having wireless charging in the car is not a big deal for me as 99% of my trips are between 10-15 mins max. But I did try it when I first got the car and like most others got the flashing orange light after less than 30 seconds. I didn’t really give it a second thought after that.
I have a 13 Pro Max and alternate between the Apple leather case and Pitaka MagEZ Pro. My phone is always in a case. At home I charge wirelessly at night on an old Qi charger that I’ve had since my iPhone X.
A few times since I got my 13 Pro Max, the Qi charging failed overnight. I’m guessing it was a positioning issue but I can’t recall this ever happening with my X or 11. The only variable here is MagSafe.
So this morning I put on a cheap spare clear case that does not have MagSafe and tried it in the car…and it charged during my whole commute (12 mins).
IMO this has less to do with phone position or camera bump and more to do with some interference with MagSafe cases.
YMMV

i had some issues today with my pixel 6 (in a spigen slim case with hard clear back), took it out of case and no issues. It was charging fine wirelessly with case when i picked up the car. But I don't use wireless charging anyways (too much heat for phone) and prefer wire as it's not a big deal to me and i like wired android auto more (less battery drain/heat)
