Good video, I won't get my keyfob til May if that holds

 

I bought my Lexus at the end of January and the dealer put in a request for the 2nd key fob shortly after. I took possession of my key fob a week ago. So it took like 1.5 months to get.

Not sure what everyone else is getting (as it seems all over the place) but it is possible to get them pretty quickly still.

 

I picked up my es300h about a month ago, and the salesman went through his whole routine about not having a second fob for some time, but eventually discovered the car had been delivered to them with both after all.

 

I bought my Lexus mid January 2024, got a paper mail from Lexus estimating that I will get my 2nd Key FOB March.
March has now come and gone, and I still have not received my 2nd Key FOB.
Called the Lexus Experience Dept and they said, wait a few more weeks.
I am losing patience as I will be moving overseas soon.

 

The key word is they 'estimated' March.

 

@romer is correct. Still running around 4 months in most cases. . 2023 Prius bought September 2023, received key January 20204m right around 4 months,
You will get a notice on your Lexus app, then contact dealer and then another 2 work wait. Check your app periodically or Service notices

Good Luck but don't lose your key in the meantime.

P.S. - My 2022 NX came with 2 key is August 2022

 

Will be picking mine up Saturday, May 11th. Called ahead to order it in order to coordinate with 10K service. It took about a week to get it, and when I called, the Parts Rep told me that only 1 key had come in and that she would hold it for me. So, I will have to drive about 200 miles Saturday to pick it up, get it programmed and oil changed. Then I will be all set for 2 road trips. All is good. RX350h prem plus is doing great. Super nice!!

 

Still waiting for mine. I took possession of my car mid-Jan. It's now 4 months and still no key FOB.
I am shipping my car to another state overseas so I guess I will have to have the dealer Fedex the key FOB to me when it eventually gets there?

 

I believe it will have to be programmed for your vehicle. If there is a Lexus dealer where you are going, they should be able to order it and program it for you once it comes in. The "recall" letter did say any dealer.

 

Don’t accept your NX without the 2nd fob. I didn’t. I was given the 2nd on delivery.

 

I have a down payment on 2025 NX350h luxury. The specs don't mention the key fobs at all. How would I go about not accepting delivary. Is there somethine else I can point to that specifies the 2 fobs?

 

Mines had 1 keyfob and a credit card key. I'm still waiting for the 2nd key.

 

The car comes with two fobs. However, due to a chip shortage, Lexus is only providing one at the time of purchase. When I picked up my NX last week, they gave me one fob, one credit card key, and a second glove box key.

 

Don't accept the car without the 2nd key. If they say sorry. Walk out of the dealership with your money

They will get you a key that works. Could be a flat wallet key. Or even an old-style Valet key

 

Has anyone recently picked up a 2024 or 25 NX and been given 2 fobs? 1 fob and 1 flat wallet key? 2 fobs and 1 flat wallet key? 1 fob and a promise to get you another?
