Default dashcam install help...

Hi,

I was wanting to hardwire my new Viofo a119 v3 dashcam in my NX. Would this be the right size for the 2 wire taps needed?

I know I have 3 wires to deal with. Black, I will find a ground. Then the other 2 wires I'm not sure what fuses on the nx I need to tap into...

here is a pic of my fuse box

I would probably tap into the power outlet 1 or 2 since those that can act as a dedicated power source for the dash cam, if you don't plan on using those too much.
Plus, it'll need the ignition on to power them up, unless you want it to constantly record which will require another source.

ok, so yellow wire (accessory wire - functions only when the car is on) for Power outlet 1or 2 fuse.

black wire, I will find a metal ground for it

red wire (always on) - what should I use?

Sorry for the late reply. You can use a tester to find out which one gives a constant power.
For me, I would probably tap into the power seat.
Please do check carefully as I'm no expert on any car electric.

Default Same fuse box as mine

Looks like the fuse diagram is the same as my NX. I'm looking to wire my DR02 Aukey dashcam, any advice on which to wire to? I'm looking at the ACC or power outlet 2. I checked and they are powered with ignition on only. Which is what I want. Any advice? power outlet 2 power, my friends advice is to do power outlet 2 with the original 15A and then a 5A for the camera off of it. Is that correct?

The P-outlet 2/15A should be plenty for the camera and is used less than the ACC (usually components like cigarette lighter, other accessories). It's also ignition on only.

Hey thanks for the help. I'm pretty new to electrical stuff so to confirm: its ok to go tap into power outlet 2/15A. So my tap would have the original 15A and the added 5A fuse for the camera? I was under the impression that the fuses needed to be the same? Thanks again for confirming.

Right, that's what I did on my dashcam - yellow wire to power outlet 2. . I used the power seats for my red wire. Black wire needs to be grounded.
