If it's not displaying any notification when you receive a text try the following.

On the iPhone go into Settings, select Bluetooth, select Lexus NX, and make sure Show Notifications and Sync Contacts are selected.

As others have said it won't show you the message text itself if the car is moving but will give the option to listen to the message.

 

My NX used to notify me and read my text messages through my nav but it recently stopped working. I checked the phone settings on the nav and they are correct. Did anyone else recently experience this issue? Btw I have the Samsung S6 Edge phone. I can get calls through and play music via bluetooth no problem though.

 

My Samsung S6 Edge+ does this too from time to time and a restart when I get in the car seems to fix it. A pain and makes no sense though!

 

I've tried everything but calling into Lexus for help. My wife's Note 4 works with all entune features except display and/or read texts on the screen. I even added my Note 5 to see if it'd work with no luck.
Frustrating.
