How many people are planning on lowering their cars and who has NEVER done it before? I just want to get an idea so that no one is attempting to do so without someone with experience. Can't wait for this one.
I've lowered Mustangs, 1G Eclipses and Galant VR4s. I just haven't done a Lexus before.
DaveC - Thanks for the suggestion.
I have indicated in a few of my posts I will be following up with folks but more specifically I was going to do an accounting of who will be here, what time and the job(s) they are expecting to perform and their confidence level in performing the job themselves or if they will require help. Given the turn out I am asking folks to only bring what they think they can realistically accomplish. This was in an effort to help me determine load/availability on tools, specific tools needed, type of space required (garage, driveway, street, other), tech expert being available for the jobs being performed, (oil disposal bottles if needed) and MOST IMPORTANTLY amount of food to have on hand...lol. Stay tuned!
Trukn - I LOVE doing this stuff. I dont have alot of technical expertise but ALOT of patience so can usually figure most things out. Counting on some techies being there JIC for support depending on job.
I just hope I can say like Hannibal from A-Team "I just LOVE it when a plan comes together"!
With the number of guys this is attracting I think it would be prudent to schedule the jobs everyone is trying to complete. If we knew how many spaces you had to work on cars we could assign types of job to the spaces. This would avoid things like tools moving to different spaces .. .people waiting for tools ... etc.
SPACE 1 (Springs) SPACE 2 (Suspension) Space 3 (Electronics)
This will also help us figure out what tools, jacks, ramps, stands we need to bring. If we have a bunch of guys for one type of job we could have them run in spaces next to each other and we could just put names in a hat and draw to see who goes first for each space.
Whaddaya think ?

Sounds like a good idea to me. If extra tools are needed I'll bring whatever I have that may be of some use. I do like the idea of set times, but the meet needs an overall start time so those who are waiting can still hangout or see how their particular install is done by watching others.
mr2tosc4 - there is another thread with details and whats needed. You are welcome to attend. I am collecting some information for those attending feel free to bring some work or shoot the breeze and grab some grub and some beverages..
