Unhappy Strange!!!!!!!!!!!

I was driving today with my windows down all day then I decided to roll up my windows and turn the AC,
when i did the AC the car started ro make a loud pitch noise and wanted to stall so I turned off the AC ,then
I tried it again and the same thing happened so when I got home I opened the hood and tried it again and it seems that the AC compressor pulley was not turning so now i have to go to the dealer and get raped because i think i need a new compressor, now my question is my car just hit 58k i lost misplaced my owners manual is the compressor still covered under the 70k powertrain warranty?coz i really think it went out premature

it might be covered i had my wipers ( arm, switch, relay, another motor as it seems to have 2 and the controller stalk, replaced under the powertrain warr

and that was 8 months after that warr had already expired

Be really nice to your dealer, and try to demonstrate that all of your recommended services have been done in accordance with the OM. Guood Luck and keep up posted.

you go in with that attitude and they wont do squat.maybe they will do something maybe they wont hows your service history been with the dealer if it is good more than likely they will help you out.but it all depends on your attitude.it is funny that people dont like the dealer but expect everything for free if there is a problem

I don't really need the compressor for free, but if it is covered i want it for free just like any other person in my situation would .because i know that for a ac compressor if that's the problem should last way longer then 58k it's not like i live in cali and use my ac alot .

just a thought
but compressors usually only go bad because of a blockage of fluid or the clutch seizing
i use mine 1 a month for 10 minutes even in winter because it helps to lubricate the bearings and clutch
i am in toronto canada so it does get cold enough, so i don't need to use it just want to make it last as long as possible
hope this helps someone else for damaging theres

Weel I just got a call from the dealer and it seems that the AC compressor is shot: and and to replace the comoressor, clutch,2orings and the refrigerant is going to cost $1,710 I called a recycler and they gave me a price of $325 for a compressor that came off a GS with 22k now I need to decide if I really want to put a used part on my GS or go with the price I was quoted from the dealer
.... any suggestions?
