Default question regarding spark plug change

i was wondering would it be best to change the plugs when i do my timingbelt/waterpump or it doesnt matter when i hold off?? i currently have the colder plugs on standby under my desk. yea i know.. silly question

currently have 144k miles

current spark plugs... ApexI iridiums

also side question... what parts do i need for timing belt change?

so far..

timing belt
serpentine belt
water pump
timing belt tensioner
pully (which?)
2x bottles of toyota red.
cam seals? (heard its a PITA and could leak if done impropperly)

and what else?

You can do it now if you want. The procedure for changing spark plugs has almost nothing in common with a TB/WP change. It's just a matter of getting the engine cover off and taking out the coil packs.

So you have 144K on the original belts? Nice gambler you are...

The two are not related, so unless you just don't want to open your hood up twice, I would do the belts first and then tackle the plugs afterwards.

supposibly the belt has been changed at 90k miles. or so the seller said... but then again the seller didnt mention anything about frame damage... or leaky supercharger haha

I would strongly recommend against doing the cam seals yourself, if you arent comfortable removing the camshafts. Replacement of those cam seals requires removal of the VVTi cam gears and camshafts.. not an easy job.

update: changed the plugs and i gotta say it feels so much better tho

the old plugs were nice n dark... n not really efficient.

also changed the outer tie rod n tightened the daizen sways.. no more clunks! more moving on to the bigger job.. timing belt stuff.

The timing belt lasts up to 130k on our cars, IME. As for spark plugs, why not go with the Denso Long Life? They last 100k and they are OEM.

well i decided to get whatever the other boosted guys got n yea. DaveGS recommended theses plugs so i got them.
