Default How many spark plugs?

Are there just 3 spark plugs? If more than 3, where are the hidden ones?

Theres 8 on the 400s and 430s and 6 on the 300.

Not to be rude but if you dont know that , then please just pay someone to do it for you.

If you have a 300 then it is an inline 6

All six plugs will be in a line smack dab in the middle of the engine, under the plastic cover.

Okay, great there's 6. Okay, I understand it's a 6 cylinder, sure. But what about my second question? Where are the other 3? If I can change a timing belt in my car, i do not have to pay someone to change my spark plugs. I just need someone to tell me where the other 3 are located.

Excuse me I am I am being rude but it's late and I have been drinking.

Well, I got the spark plugs changed yesterday in about 30 minutes. Wasn't so bad. Pretty easy I would say. After taking off the intake/throttle body assembly several times now, it's so quick and easy for me. But unfortunately, it's still stuttering from the water that was sprayed on the engine to get the extingusher residue off of it. There was water in 2 of the spark plugs chambers. I'm guessing this water will just evaporate or burn off right?

take the plugs back out and spray some WD40 in where the plug boot was. It will help the water to dissipate quickly.

I'm still confused as to how you can change a timing belt on a Lexus but you don't know how many spark plugs a 6-cylinder car has

I am not being rude, just confused.

Probably because the only other car I ever worked on was a 94 Maxima, which did not have coil packs over the spark plugs like the GS300. I didn't know anything about coil packs. Just like I never even heard of a camshaft oil seal before I found out mine was leaking. But I was able to change the 2 oil seals, change out the timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and 2 O2 sensors. With the right questions and answers, anything can be accomplished. Between this board and the friendly techs at Hendrick Lexus in Charlotte, NC, I think I might be able to rebuild my whole engine.
