ECT 2nd start

ECT 2nd start

I cant seem to find a answer using the search button. But what does this button do exactly? WHen would one use it?

You should be able to view and maybe download the owner's manual via Lexus.com.

2nd-Start, oddly enough, has the truck start moving from a stop in 2nd gear. Very handy in winter to minimize wheel slip in ice or snow.

I doubt you'd need it.

ECT= Power/Trailer Mode
2°nd start= The car will start with the second gear

I dont thins the LX has the option shown like this pic. Its just ect 2nd start all in one.

My Lx "13 have the ECT 2nd start button same in the picture (taken from an lx owner manual).

Because are two different modes or Power/trailer mode (ECT) or 2nd start.

I'd probably set mine on "2" just for the torquey second gear starts and no shifting.

That's how old school luxury cars were.
