Default Question about engine start and stop button

i was driving around with a couple friends of mine, and one of them ask me what would happen if i accidentally press the start and stop button while im driving the car? that made me wonder, but im to afraid to actually do to find out, i was wondering if anyone here knows what would happen if you accidentally press the start and stop button you're driving the car. thanks

i was always under the assumption it'd do nothing. like a safety feature?. but im not to sure either. my friends ask me this all the time too haha

i remember it's mentioned in the manual,nothing will happen.
but if you hold it for i dunno how much seconds the engine will stop.

well i tired starting the car and putting it on D and pressing the button it does turns the car off, but i have never tried it while the car is moving tho, i don't think i have the ***** to do that. maybe someone here has that kind of ***** to try it out for us any taker????

I would guess if you hit the brake and press the start button the same thing would happen.

Alright mythbusters, it is CONFIRMED that if you are driving and press the start/stop button for a few second the engine will shut off and it will continue to roll. To start it again just put the gear in neutral, press the brake and then press the start button and it will start again.

i guess it probably works the same way with keys. This girl friend of mine once decide to turn the keys while i was driving. The whole car turned off.
