hey i just bought some of this fluid to refill it, cause mine is a bit low.
i was just wondering all you do is take off the top and fill it up to the high mark right? theres no speaial procedure you need to do to fill this fluid right?
There is no reason that you should be low on fluid, the system is a completely closed system. If you are low then you have a problem. You are proably not even low at all, This is a common mistake. Put the car in low mode and the resovoir will be completely filled. If you put it in high it will look empty. The low supension setting is where you check the level. I am sure that you supension is fine but if by chance you are actually low then i would take it to a dealer and have them inspect everything and do a complete flush and fill. I would not reccomend just adding new fluid (its a waste of money in my opinion). The flush and fill is about $150 but is really worth it if you need it.
i would of gotten the system flushed and refilled. but the damn dealer wants 300 bucks for it, hell no.
also you telling me i wasted 35 bucks buying fluid?
Bsjoiner is right you have to put the vehicle in low mode and check, and if your low then you probably have a leak and thats not good. Put the car in low and check if you over filled it dont panic go to a boat store and buy a oil pump to suck out the extra oil. it only cost like 30 bucks.
I have a 99 LX. I use the hydraulic 4-6 times every day to lower the vehicle for ease of entry and exit. Is that too many times? At what mileage should the oil be changed? and when should be hydraulic be serviced?
Also, the vehicle occassionally tends to make a strange noise when moving from N to L. This noise appears to be hydraulic suspension related as it can also be heard occassionally when going over a parking small ramp or coming down a side walk/ramp.
