Default Lexus ls460 led vs hid headlights oem

Hello I’m interested in a 2013 to 2017 Lexus LS 460 long wheelbase( don’t care about any other options ) I’m dying to get the LED headlights I love the look of it but most of them come with the regular H IDs ( owners who had seen both there there very own eyes)

can anyone tell me am I wasting my time or should I wait for the one I want I don’t care about the active headlights though I just love the look of the LED headlights so LED headlights versus H IDs which is betterBeam pattern or brightness cause HID color wise doesn’t matter since I can always change the color..
also I hear the 2013-2014 is yellow led and the 2015 is a white led...

I have a 2010 Lexus gs350 AWD fully loaded
66k no issues blk on blk .

love the car but I just want the big body sedan
( no German makes) but I like how they option there cars why the Lexus you want is a Unicorn color wise option wise

This was the car I was gonna buy but the owner is asking too much it was a 2014 F sport and it was beautiful outside and inside (Did notice the bumpers was repainted from the paint job because I saw debris behind the clearcoat but the match was perfect )plus local and all the air suspension and brake actuator’s fix thur recently Thur the dealership but I just wasn’t feeling the mileage for the price he’s asking 34,000 cash in hand with 90,000 miles and I’m scared of the brakes making noise this was like 5 months ago and it’s still on cars.com for sale so I made a right move.
why must I want a now when I have a perfectly great car I guess cause it’s black exterior which I hate but I got this at covid at 50k almost 3.5 years ago for $9500 since no one was buying.
if I don’t get a reply I want I’m just gonna delete all my car website and just wait another few years when the $$ goes back to Average
thanks if so I’m just wanna wait and get the hated ls500 and drive it to the grave.

If you are not in a rush to get a LS460 with options you want, you should keep looking. However, you probably will have to travel across the country to get what you want.

that woke me up

i did find one don’t know if it’s a good deal

Did you actually make an offer? If not, make him your best offer. Some people start too high with their asking price.

HID bulbs can be replaced. LED require the entire headlight assembly be replaced when LED bulbs goes out. Otherwise, it's more about personal preference.

not worried about headlights replacement
I’m 5 mins away from a headlight shop that can just replace the inner led light from a broken used headlight and resealed it back here in nyc

I don’t have a preference since I never drove one with H IDs or LEDs I just like the look of the leds but just wanted to know if there a difference at night driving since that like 99% of my driving

I am not sure the LED version actively moves with the steering. The HID version is by far the best lights I have ever used in any car, plus the fact the inner lenses will never be used in a non-NV car would and does always bother me.

He sent me the car fax and there was a minor rear accident so I just didn’t want to go further he told me he wouldn’t have buy the car in 2017 if it wasn’t up to par . I believe him cause of all the things he did to the car to with stand the elements . But I just want a clean car no clips or anything missing str8 like from the factory plus it was white so I know that’s a hard color to match.

I think I’m gonna give up and just go with the ls500 and drive it until the wheel fall off

i know the ls460 is a smarter move to make but looking with a Lexus with the options you want is a nightmare.
still searching ...

also I been looking at bmw 740 and 2018 Mercedes s4 around the same year but the in line 6 and wow The depreciation from when it was new it’s scary it’s a beautiful car but looks like a money pit

I would get the LED. They are far more superior than the HID. I love the color temperature and overall just better IMHO. I have the LED headlights on my current LS, and so far I have been searching for another LS for the past year, and one of the main reasons why i have not purchased another LS is due to the LED headlights. I just can't get another LS unless it has the LED headlights. Everytime i find one that like, it doesn't have the LED Headlights. I don't see a crafted line with the LED Headlights, and not sure if it even came with this package or not.

The headlights do move when you turn the steering wheel with the LED Headlights by the way.

I’ve had the LS460 with both LEDs and HIDs, the LEDs are better but the HIDs are also excellent. Personally, I wouldn’t let that dictate what I choose.
