Default Ls600 lower control arm help...

Pulled the through bolt and the ball joint. Not sure how to get it out from here. Sprayed everything down. Tried prying it down even put a jack under it and tried to move it up. Am I missing something??

On the 460 that front lower control is in there tight also. You have to pry it STRAIGHT down and when reinstalling you have to wiggle it up from the bottom. I had to use a pry bar but it was not that difficult. Hopefully your has not sealed itself to the crossmember. I had to cut the rear lower control arm out because it was not budging.

You are supposed to hammer out the bold guide. Mine was rusted and fused with the control arm, I had to cut the control arm in pieces. Actually, I had cut out all 4 front lower control arms.

AWD has different control arms, you can't wiggle it out. There is a tube inside that prevents from doing that. Check the post #28, there is a part next to the bold, it goes inside the control arm and needs to be removed before the control arm.

Ok I see what you're saying. That's the alignment bolt but I didn't know there was a bolt that goes through it and then you have to remove that also.

It makes removing the control arms so much harder especially for cars in northern states. Even after I cut the control arms in pieces, I was not able to separate the toe assembly from the control arm bushing.

Ended up cutting mine into pieces too. Any secrets, hints or things to plan for when it comes to the lower rearward arm??

Use a good quality anti-seize when installing the arms, especially, the area between the toe assemblies and control arms. Torque the arms only under full weight of the vehicle and at the riding height.
