You may find answers on this detailed thread about replacing control arms in a 2007 LS. Good luck!

You will need a small sledge to break them loose. I gave up and had a shop do my lowers.

You talking about the arm the strut is mounted on?? Your probably stuck on the ball joint side. If you removed the bolt on the body side and nut on knuckle side and strut bolt. Whatever else is attached.

You need to bang it good to pop it free.

Yep. Either pop it good on the side or rent a ball joint press from Autozone or some where like that.

Can you explain this better please?

You were able to remove the original bolts holding the bushing to the body, but you replaced them when the new part went in?

What exactly did you have to cut up to get the bushing end of the control arm out?

Was it just rusted in place?

The control arms and the alignment bolts for both were rusted together in side,I use the ball joint puller to wedge it out . Had to buy replacement (sleeve toe )inserts to put the new arms on..try to cut them out but no luck,a ball joint puller did the trick
