Default Replacement for a LS460 lost keyless remote fob

I lost the only remote keyless fob for my ls460 and I'm desperate to get a replacement. How do I go about it. Some suggested I buy a remote fob online with a programmer and have it reprogrammed. Others say I can buy a used engine computer, with the smart key and the remote fob that comes with it. Anybody, please with experience on this? By the way, I don't know why but the VIN of my ride cannot be found in the locations its supposed to be. ???

Did you do a search on this subject? Do not buy a used FOB unless the seller can blank out all prior programming!

Default Same problem - lost spare

Lost my spare fob and figured I best get a replacement in case I lost the primary. I researched the online offers for my 2007 LS 460L and could not find many replacement fobs. Some where cheap for sure compared to the dealer cost. However I decided to go to the dealer (I guess for peace of mind) and paid about $250. Since it was a backup fob I did not include the metal key and saved a few bucks.

Should be able to use Techstream. Use an online calculator to get a passcode.

If you got the blank key...There are a bunch of locksmiths who can cut them.,.. Call around...

On my LS430 (pretty much the same type of key), they charged me $26 to cut a key...

Still not a big deal, as I don't think I have ever used my key..

Mauser,
It is two drastically different processes and degrees of difficulty to program an already programmed fob using techstream verses one
that has been wiped clean prior to the procedure.

Im sorry, I didn't see where he said anything about a used fob. What I saw was asking about a used ecu.

Too true. There is definitely zero support from Lexus in my country. And I still can't find the VIN number in the usual locations. The FCC ID shown on the Smart Key Unit is N14TMLF-4.
My next hope is to replace the ECU, SMART KEY and the FOB that comes in a set (used parts) provided the respective part numbers are exactly the same. I have sourced out a set (used parts) online and I'm wondering if it will work.
Anybody?
Another set consists of ECU, SMART KEY, START PUSH BUTTON, THEFT WARNING UNIT and 2 Fobs which is what I'd like to to buy. Difference is on this ECU, the first part number is exactly the same ie: 89661-50A30 however the 2nd part number still on the ECU (275100-8133) now reads 275100-8132.
Will this make a difference?
If anybody in the LEXUS CLUB could assist me. And will this work out. Please, please, please?

Yes and they asked for the VIN number when I had initially mentioned that the VIN is mysteriously not at the usual locations on the vehicle. More like the blind asking the deaf situation. Lol
