About to buy an ls460 f sport. Love lexus, 2000 gs300 ran to 300k. I have an 07gs350 now, getting and ls460 is no question.

Are any 2013+ ls460 f sports equipped with rear door window shades?

 

The rear door window shades were only available on the ultra luxury package in 2013. Not sure if the F-Sport was available with that package.

 

Nope. None, just the rear window shade.

 

I believe 9nly the L models can come with rear wdoor windows shades. And thats just an option that has to be added. The f sport does not come in a L model

 

Correct. I have a 2013 F-Sport and it only has the rear window sunshade. Like previously stated, I believe the rear side windows shade was only available in the L. And maybe even the Executive Package L. But there are a lot of aftermarket ones our there. Not controlled at the front cockpit of course. Or at least that I'm aware of.

 

Do u have a link for said aftermarket ones? I was not successful in finding any. So i ended up just tinting the rear windows as dark as i could

 

Our 2013 short wheelbase ultra luxury has the power aide sunshade. Agreed, when our older LS 430 didn't have the side sunshades then I just tinted it dark.

I appreciate having the side sunshades more than I thought I would. One, it saved me from spending more on retinting the car (had wanted to try out Huper Optiks). Two, decided to leave the previous tint on the car because the side sunshades provide added privacy but also give the option to be put away and let in more light without letting in more wind.

Maybe you can look for a rare Ultra Luxury and just install the F Sport springs? But then you also give up the exterior/interior styling treatments of the F Sport. Probably cheaper just to get the F Sport and explore your other sunshade options. I believe there are ones that attach at the base and you can roll them up when needed and retract it away when you don't. Not power-operated though. Maybe someone makes one with a wireless remote? Kind of overboard for sunshades though. Good luck on your search and hope you find the perfect specimen.

 

I don't have a link at this time. But I know I've seen them on eBay and even on this forum in the Classifieds. I believe there may have even been a vendor selling these. You'll have to explore around. Good luck...
