Default Parking assist/guidance quit working

My parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didnt help. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

IS the P-button on the left of the steering wheel on (green)? If not, push it to turn green

Funny...same thing happened to me this week. I was like, WTH, my park sensors aren't working! Looked for it in settings and setup and couldn't find anything. Then thought, maybe there's a dumb button, pushed it and voila...works again. Just totally forgot it was there.

on my '08 techstream is required to disable auto retract of steering wheel column, I Think on 09 or newer it is in the vehicle settings menu accessible by the main touchscreen.

To disable tilt, I used Techstream I got off of E-Bay. Cost about $40.00 USD

A simple fix. The 460 is complex but a simple touch of a button can make a difference. Lexus - the pursuit of perfection.

Incredible. Thank you hfahmy!!!

Wife and I just got back from a vacation in Cuba, and while we were gone, we left it with a valet parking service off-airport. When we came back, the parking sensors did not work and we had no idea why. While I'm work right now, I am absolutely sure that they saw the "P", thought it was the parking brake, and pressed it, not realizing that they disabled the park assist feature completely.

And here I was ready to bring it into the dealership and girding myself for thousands in repair costs to diagnose an electrical snafu.

This forum really is great.
