This is listed as an option, and a prerequisite for Advanced Parking Guidance System. But what IS IPA? Is it those sensors that tell you when you are getting close to an obstruction? Thanks in advance.

 

I think it lets you know judging by steering angle if youre gonna clear the object when parking.

 

I thought you meant India Pale Ale...

IPA are parking sensors that warn you visually and with audio when the car is getting close to an object in the way of the car.

Advanced Parking Guidance is when the car will move itself automatically into a spot in conjuction with the IPA sensors (hence the prerequisite for it).

 

if it's anything like the 3GS, it doesn't even tell you you are too close to something and will hit, it will even show on the screen how much you need to turn the steering wheel to clear the obstacle

 

I bet people will use that way more than the Advance Parking Guidance System, which is the autopark I believe.
