the remote fob will not open he trunk, but the inside trunk open button will
hello guys, so my trunk will not open using my remote fob, so I have to use the inside button next to the driver seat, which will open the trunk successfully.
this means the motor in the trunk is still good right ? I tried hitting the trunk release button on the remote twice, as well as holding it down and still no luck. Only the inside button next to driver seat will open the trunk.
is this enough info to pin point the culprit ? thanks

If you lower the trunk lid but not shut it, does pressing the fob or trunk button open the trunk? The problem with the trunk closing mechanism may be unrelated.

the automatic trunk close button in the trunk also does not work.
which electronic component could it be?

Yeah, I agree. It is not likely to be a weak key fob. The trunk opening is fine. It appears to be an electrical problem with the sensor or switch releasing the trunk using the fob/trunk button. Must be independent of the switch that releases (opens) the trunk from the driver seat. Separate fuse, maybe??

Yes, sounds like fuse-related problems. I suggest you take the car to a dealership. I think many of your issues could be fixed quickly (and relatively cheaply) by the dealer.
