Would appreciate some advice here. I've been looking at a 2014 is350 f sport for a while now. I'd been planning on buying one towards the end of the year. I saw a couple deals for about $30K with 30K miles.
Now my dilemma. I've been offered a 2010 ls460 with 13K miles for $25K. It's a family member and they'd finance it to me with no interest.
I was drawn to the is350 because of the sportiness of it, and the redesigned interior/exterior.
Is the LS deal too good to pass up? Or is it worth it to spend an extra $5K on what's supposed to be a lesser car but more in line with what I was looking for?
I realize that the answer will be subjective, but curious to what you guys think.
That's a very good deal on the LS.
We at these forums are going to be bias and say go for the LS. But I'd urge you to drive both and then make your decision.
The two cars don't even begin to compare to each other. The LS is going to be leaps and bounds more refined and appointed than the IS. But on the flip side the IS has driving dynamics the LS can't even dream of.

How loaded up is this LS? Because that's a stupid good deal on an LS.
Not sure exactly. I'll post once I know more. Never was really that in tune with the LS universe because I near thought I'd be possibly buying one. I know it's black on tan and short wheelbase. Has nav and rear shade. Not even sure if that stuff is standard or not. Just remember from riding in it once. It's practically new. But I think he may have replaced shocks recently. I read about some issues with control arms, but not sure if it's related to that or not
Sure, I'm biased, but I think even IS fans would acknowledge that you really won't be able to beat that "insider" LS deal right in front of you. Make sure you get all the paperwork as far as service history is concerned and perhaps an extended warranty. Then you can enjoy one of the classiest and most well built vehicles on the road at 0% interest. And know that while the LS lives more so as a smooth cruiser, it does acquit itself quite well at high speeds and competently through turns. I hope you get a chance to drive it for a few hours before you make your decision; you'll know if it's right for you.

If you want an IS, get an IS. It's unpleasant to drive a car you don't want; especially if and when it begins to need maintenance.
IS maint cost is nearly on par with LS maint with equivalent equipment.
The LS will cost a few pennies more. But when you buy something you don't want, the tendency is to neglect it or look upon it as a hindrance to your better idea.
