Anyone knows at what speed the car is in 8th gear ? My 08 LS supposedly has 8 speed A/T..

 

Freeway speed??

 

I should have asked at what speed on freeway the car is in 8th gear???
Anyway, the car was going at 70 or so MPH on freeway and I flipped the gear stick from Auto to Manual and it showed that the car is in 6th gear .... Is that normal??

 

Yes, Sport shift mode goes 1-6, totally normal. I think your owners manual discusses this, but I could be wrong. My 600 is a CVT but I still have numbered gears on my sport shift mode...trying to figure out how it relates to 1-6 gears if there are "no gears"

 

U can manually shift to the 8th speed if you want to at anytime.

 

When you shift into manual it drops down 2 gears and highway speed. You were in 8th then drops to 6th. That's normal. At what speed exactly I don't know. At all depends in throttle angle and a bunch of other things.
