Slight pricing rant
I have been looking for a used LS460 with ML. I would like a 2008 or later. By looking at the Mannheim auction 2008's they are going in the mid to upper 30's. Yesterday I looked at a 2008 with ML, 40K miles, They wanted $45,500. I made an offer $1,000 less and they wouldn't budge. I thought that $45,500 was way to much in the first place. I got this song and dance that they were not getting any new ones so the used prices are going up, BS. They slap on new tires, brakes, change the oil and call it "Certified". I would like to buy one , but at a decent price. Almost all of these cars are coming off lease. So, what is a good price for one these.
man everyone that wants a LS460 is looking at Manheim .... also the prices are going up for used because of part shortages to make new ones ... this applies to all japanese cars ... I have access to Manheim and am seeing prices go up instead of down .... anotehr reason is tax season and since people get refunds they have some money to purchase a used car. Sorry man your timing is wrong.
You need to keep in mind that at certified vehicle has an extended warranty and they are staninding behind it by charging you an arm an a leg. I would skip the certified ans save 5k alone. Retail and wholesale prices are different especially when the price tag is higher.
Gook Luck with your search!

You can't expect auction prices to reflect what dealers are going to sell the car for. It's just not realistic. I also wouldn't be so quick to call BS on prices going up, although it shouldn't affect current inventory, price gougers are ready to eat on anything. I don't know if you can get an LS pretty much loaded for mid $30s, but good luck as I know someone here is going to speak on how they got it for $3.00 and a can of coke

Not BS, just like Will Rogers said about land, they ain't makin' any more of it.
"While Toyota's factories have not suffered major damage, the disaster has disrupted shipments of key components and "normal production cannot be expected for many months", Moody's said in a statement."
Buy it now because prices are only going higher. And if you're thinking about custom ordering one.......fuggedaboutit.

Wow. I just helped my dad purchase an 08' LS460 with Nav/ML with 33k miles for less than $40k and it was certified. I'd recommend looking around on cars.com. We came really close to buying an 07' with 42k miles for the same price but decided to look out of our area for a better price.
