After my last BMW, a 2009 X5 twin turbo diesel that was a lemon, I will never buy another BMW. It took 3 months for a part to fix a check engine light and another 5 weeks for a heated fuel filter in the middle of winter. The battery wouldn't stay charged and I had other electrical problems as well. They asked if I wanted another BMW, I told them no, I just want my money back. They refused and sent me a check for 600.00 to compensate me for my trouble. I traded it for my GX 460. My BMW was in the shop over ten times in one year. I must have been to the dealer 30-40 times with problems. I had to purchase a battery tender in order to keep my battery charged. I plugged it in every night...

 

My neighbor is a surgeon and had an X5, he was always running late, having it towed in and living with loaners, which is not good for that vocation.. he now drives a new LS460 and thanks me almost every weekend I see him out front. We both reliably leave for work each morning.. I often take a longer, curvy way to work, just to enjoy the ride on the way in.. after a long day.. I often take the long way home too :-)

 

Update: today in the mail I received the $500.00 visa card, I have no problem with Lexus about the lateness of this delivery. The real culprit is PNC Bank the company that took on more work than they could accomplish in a realistic amount of time. Now I can get my 30K check up with the card.

 

When I called to ask about the status of my CC, they said they had no idea when it would be mailed to me, but if I need it now, they could simply put $500 on my account for Lexus dealer to use. That's what we did and when I had my car serviced 2 weeks ago, Lexus dealer called them to verify and I did not pay a penny. Still have a credit of $3XX.00 on my account.

 

I did my VSR back December still receive nothing from Lexus. Anyone having the same problem? When I call or email them, they all said is coming but the last time I talk to them was two months ago...
