Default 2010 ls

Anyone have any pics/info on the redesign for the 2010 model? Will it still be a 460? Release time frame? Thanks in advance.

Lexus spent 4 years designing the current generation which came out in 2007. High end automobile sales volumes are not like Corollas or Camrys and look how long it takes for them to get re-designed. Considering that is takes billions of dollars and millions of man hours (remember, Toyota is laying off thousands and idling plants) to bring a radically new design like the current LS, my guess is you won't see a new generation until at least 2015 or beyond.

There is a face lifted slightly revised LS460/L/H coming out for 2010. This isn't a completely new car. I saw some spy shots online somewhere. The car is getting a revised front and rear end, new lights, and a couple updates inside (typical mid model cycle refresh). They have to do this to stay competitive with the S class, which is also getting a face lift for 2010, and the 7 series, which is all-new for 2009.5.

My salesman who has been selling Lexus longer than anyone in my state and since they first started selling the LS also said there would be a minor face lift in 10.

Minor face lift in 2010 to include signal lights integrated into side mirrors, revised front bumper, possible changes to brake lights as well as headlights. i would expect a complete redesign for 2013

I'm expecting those, and possibly the addition of some features...if the HS 250h is being shown with Lane Keep Assist, I expect that feature (seen on the LS 460 in Europe and Asia) to come to the LS here. Also the Active Front Headrests (the RX gets them, rear also), which are available on the LS internationally, should be offered here as well.

A six-year production cycle(same as LS430) sounds about right ...

I hope that is not the real facelifted look. The tail lights and wheels look like crap. They look like they belong to an Avalon, not a Lexus. With every new generation, Lexus cars look more and more like Toyotas.

There's going to be a new LS460 for model year 2013 for sure. It would be suicide to keep a generation past 6 years. Just look at past volume numbers, the LS has always trailed off the last two year, especially for the big money making top-of-the-line trims. I remember when Toyota and Honda were putting out Civics and Corollas on 4-year cycles... those were the days. Now it's three and three with a mild facelift in between. So, if you don't like a particular redesign, it's six-years of waiting until the "next" one.

Is there any more news to 2010?

I'm most interested in electronic improvements -- ie Nav system, Ipod / MP3 device integration, etc.

God knows they need it! This is the flagship of the "attainable luxury class", and it has voice recognition and nav features that are inferior to mid-level cars costing half as much.

I can't understand why Lexus can't buy the same VR and nav that Acura and Honda and even Ford buy!

It will get the usual facelift and updates....also expect F-sport parts available for it.

TAS this year will be huge for Lexus, LF-A debut, possible IS-F lightweight and LS F-sport....ES will be refreshed, GX re-done.
