I just got a postcard from Lexus advising me there is a map update available for "only" $265.

I guess I thought 7.1 was the latest one out ... is there now a newer one?

Betond is probably better; it's an appropriate reflection our new generation's declining spelling skills.

Boy, THAT'S for sure, and nowhere can you find more spelling, grammar or syntax errors than in online forums (fora?).

It's second only to this generation's inability to make change for a dollar ... even when they have those cash registers that tell them how much change to give you.

I doubt there is anything newer than 7.1. I'm sure you are just getting a postcard from a dealer that is a bit behind the times.

 

Mike, I too received the post card yesterday. Watch for the small fine print on the bottom. "Labor cost is not included". So its not just $265.

 

Hmmm ... it just occurred to me that this post card may be for the IS350 I sold a year ago.

I also got one in the mail but is for my 06 GX 470 Nav upgrade.

 

Isn't all the dealer do insert a DVD to put the updates in your car? How much labor is that?!? Better get a loaner out of it

 

no... they plug in a computer to update it, not dvd
