Where else is the LS460 engine used?
Is the LS460 engine brand new? If not, which of the other Lexus have it (GX/LX/Etc?)?
Also, does anyone have the 0-60 nubmers for the entire lexus line up? I am wondering how the LS 0-60 performance compares...

Engine is new, right now only the LS has the 460 engine, until the GS460 comes out.
Acceleration times for the models vary due to different climatic/atmospheric conditions, different drivers etc., but from the test reports I've seen, I think the models that can do 0-60 faster than the LS460 are the IS350, GS450h & the GS350, the latter probably just marginally. Of course, the IS350 & GS350 weigh much less than the LS460.

It's a sedan thing...
I think the 460 engine will be used on Lexus sedans/coupes only.
So far, only the GS is confirmed to recieve it later this year. Perhaps the next gen SC will get it as well. I actually thought the IS-F would get it, but to my suprise a 5.0L engine instead. There is no way the ES will get such an engine: unneccesary power for a FWD car.
As far as the SUVs are concerned, the RX may recieve the beefier 4.6L engine, whereas the GX and LX may recieve the Tundra's new 5.7L engine.

i agree that the es will not get this engine, it's fwd and it's not up the same league within lexus. and actually for the same reason i am not sure if the rx will get a v8 (i thought the rx is based on the es)
i also think it's likely that the same engine will be used in the new sc too
i also think it's likely that the same engine will be used in the new sc too

The 4.6, 5.0, and 5.7 v8's are all from the same engine family.

I think the Middle Eastern LS460's don't have direct injection.
I think if the RX ever needed a power/torque boost it might get the 4.0 from the FJ Cruiser, or just upgrade to the 2gr-fse from the 2gr-fe
