Question Larger Wheels/Rims

Has anyone put larger wheels than the standard 18" on the 460? I've seen people who are advertising 20" and 22" on here (and they look great) but I recall seeing a message in the owners manual that putting wheels any larger than 18" will damage the car. When I called the guys who are advertising these larger rims they indicated they have been installed on the car and if done correctly won't cause a problem. Conservatively, and to protect the car and warranty, it seems better not to put on wheels any larger than what is stated but I wondered if any of you have tried it and experienced any problems? It sure would look nicer to fill that wheel well in with larger rims and tires!

wheels larger than 18s might be a problem if they have the wrong widths and offsets, coz' it might hit the sway bar in the front. but if sized correctly, you can put larger wheels like 20s no problem. we have seen some here

Plus sized wheels (20 and 22") is not an issue with any LS460, they simply have to be custom crafted to fit the vehicle. "1 size fits all" wheels out of someones back stock room will not cut it!

I have personally done wheels for the LS460 so feel free to contact me (all info in my signature).

Have a great day.

I'm in CA and you are in Connecticut...not sure how I could arrange to get larger wheels with our distance.

shipping is never a problem for those companies, and great cares are taken into consideration on all the packaging and shipping. it's not like wheels come out of connecticut anyway

don't worry, buying stuff from out of state is very common these days

If you deal with a good shop Like D2 and you'll not have to worry about fitment issues. I'm seeing some locally with 20-22's...not exactly JDM/VIP styled wheels but still a nice touch.
