Default Power steering doesn’t work at slow speeds

My 07 ls460 had ABS light on with a code for pump motor relay. After some research online and the help of the Lexus forum I was able to change the fuse box and clear the code. After that I drove the car around with computer plugged in to see if the code comes back. But while driving by mistake I pressed on EMPS and went into that setting without realizing. Red light for steering came on and steering became hard to turn. Now power steering doesn’t work well at slow speeds like under 5 or when car is stationary. I noticed that when I press on accelerator steering become easy again. But while turning or in the parking lot where acceleration is not needed the steering is really hard. Now no codes shown on the diagnostic. Any suggestions before I give it to the mechanic. Thanks in advance.

You need to re-calibrate torque sensors.

Does it say that calibration was completed successfully?

yes I was able to calibrate it once only the same night. when I got back home to calibrate I rotated the steering wheel 90 degrees each side than centered it. Took 40 sec to calibrate than wheel vibrated to confirm but didn’t change anything. After that I tried again next night It went thru the cycle but after 40 sec it gave me an error. Let me get home tonight and I’ll add the pic of what error it shows exactly. I remember it said failed calibration

on my diagnostic device I can’t read codes for steering wheel. Only function available is to calibrate the torque sensor. Can a regular mechanic pull up this code or do I HAVE to take to Lexus?

I did it with Techstream, I am not sure what non-OEM tools can work with electronic steering.
