2013-2017 New CSP! Brake Booster and Booster Pump Customer Support Program
Just got a notice for Brake Booster and Brake Pump 23LE04 customer support program replacement letter for related codes: C1391, C1252, C1256, C1253 for 2013-2017 LS460.
Primary Coverage: March 31, 2024
Secondary Coverage: 10 years / 150k miles whichever occurs first.
I wonder if the brake Actuator replacement applies since the LS doesn’t have a brake booster. It has a brake pump and accumulator/Actuator. I’ve been trying to get owners to complain about the actuator CSP since Lexus never fixed it from the 2007-2012 models. Even Lexus themselves are sometimes confused on which of their 10 different actuator part numbers are the most current version.
I had no luck 4 months ago to have Lexus replace my ABS actuator and wanted to charge me $3800 for parts and labor. I tried to reach out to Lexus’s customer service and they were useless. I ended up buying the part whole sale and had a shop with a certified ASE tech and a Snap On scanner do it for me for $600 labor. My Abs works as a charm, like it didn’t happened.
I got that notice earlier this summer, it's good till April 5th here due to the metric system I guess. You need to have codes stored to be considered though.
They have a disclaimer regarding the warning lights.

Those are lights and codes which will trigger indicate the failing part, especially Code 1391.
For people seeking reimbursement; just need to show the repair report showing the replacement due to the codes generated. These are hard codes i think, you can’t just reset it.
My main question for everyone is if the brake actuator is warrantied under this CSP since it only says brake booster and booster pump. The LS doesn’t have a brake booster per se, it has a brake actuator.

They do call it a brake booster, people who get this notice will have to check with the dealer for details. could just be wording...for years in Toyota manuals they referred to "grove box"
Plus a stroke simulator that looks like a master cylinder.
I just got paid from Lexus today! I sent all my info with a word document and exhibits but Lexus was a little incompetent and did not even read it.
After mailing, it took bout 2-3 weeks for Lexus to issue a case number for me. They said I was missing a proof of payment but I called in to walk them through what I had sent in.
