Default TSB for brake booster and pump assemblies 2011-2013

Forgot to post this for 2011-2013 owners, in case you didn't get letter. This is for TSB 21LE01 in case you encounter DTC codes C1391, C1252, C1256, and C1253 or you get illuminated brake, ABS, or slip warning lights. They will replace the brake booster and brake booster pump assembly only if those pop up. Coverage is good until 11/30/22.

If the issue came up and you've already replaced them at your cost, they will reimburse you with submission of the proper paperwork.

Mine makes a farting noise all the time unless you feather the brake smoothly. No error codes though.
2013 with 142k miles.

Where did you see this? I had this happen ("fart" noises included), and am replacing the part. Mine might be due to mileage, but who knows.

Sucks that the TSB applies to my model year..and I experience the noise...but I have yet to get any error codes so I can't take it in. Hopefully, it will go before it expired in November of this year.

I have a 2011 CT200h and just got these two codes. My ABS, Brake, Slip lights all on. Recently, sometimes when I break the pedal will shudder. Brake fluid level is normal and there are no drips under the car.
I was troubleshooting thinking maybe one of the wheel speed sensors are bad, but they were all good and reading properly. I cleared the codes and drove about 5 miles and it did not return.
I googled this later and now see the TSB. I imagine it will come back on and I will try to get Lexus to fix it.
  • C1241 Low or High Power Supply Voltage
  • C1391 Abnormal Leak in Accumulator
I will say I think they had a bad issue with the brakes in the design and this is probably a side effect of many years of braking. Ever since I had this car it would skip while braking. It always would jump/skip during the transition from regen to physical braking at low speeds. It feels like the brakes just stop working for a second and then kick back in. It was scary at first but you got used to it and I posted originally about that but no one confirmed they had the same issue.
