What version of Techstream is everyone running? I purchased a Tactrix Openport 2.0 cable off of someone who tunes Tacomas and 4Runners. While I was at his place, I tried to do some customizations on my son's LS430 (door unlock and daytime running lights). For some reason, the customization options didn't populate for either. At first, I thought it could be the cable, but he connected the same cable and computer to his Tacoma and RCF. Everything worked smoothly. He has version 16.xx and Windows 10. Someone said that version 15.2 and Windows 10 worked for them for their 430. Might I have to find an older version of the software? I would think that all the versions would be backwards compatible.
Sort of off topic but what did you do to the locks? And why disable the moving steering wheel?
I bet he programmed it to unlock all doors when the vehicle is put into park. That's what I'm trying to do. Also, the tilt and telescoping motor are starting to go out on some of these vehicles. You can change it so that they don't constantly retract and tilt upwards when you turn the vehicle off. They just stay in place. Some people do this to preserve the motors.
What good are the motors if you "preserve" them? Might as well let them go out!!!
I replaced the motors on my son's LS430. They're roughly $300 each. I think some people also pull the fuses once they have the steering wheel exactly where they want it. I like the dog and pony show, so I have them enabled to retract when the vehicle is turned off.
I have my seat and column motors disabled for the easy exit on my 2014 ES. I set memory position #2 to the easy exit positions. If I’m feeling lazy I’ll hit #2 and an have it on an on demand basis instead of every time I get in and out of the car. It’s annoying if you’re doing anything where you keep turning the power on and off or open and close the door. I can see where some people like the show though, lol. Techstream v13 and mini vci firmware 2.0.4 is what I’m using on a stand-alone Windows Xp dell laptop, I bought used for 40 bucks.

I have zero need for it to move in order to enter/exit, so it's more important for me to be able to adjust them electronically as necessary for the rest of the life of the car without having to replace the motors. Beats adjusting them manually anyway...
